Cytotekk,

You have asked some pretty reasonable questions which, I feel, have not resulted in reasonable answers. Your questions seem incredibly naive but, since I detect no evidence of sarcasm (and I'm pretty good with sarcasm), I will assume they were sincere.

Here is one side of the story.

First, you do not have to go back to the beginning of this thread to find the reason for the animosity. You would have to go and read the RMIL thread, not a task I would wish on anybody. On that thread, for many months, these same "naysayers", s martin, Tideglider, TopCat, Ron Reese, tonto and others have trashed and bashed our investment to the extent that we consider them our enemies. They seem to have a particular fixation with Riley G. and Pugs and, we feel, they have stalked these two to this thread.

When I say "we", I mean that there are some of us who feel that Riley and Pugs have a knack for picking good stocks. That is our choice and our right. For this, we are referred to as "sheep", "sock puppets" and disciples. In real life, we would be thought of as an affinity group.

We also feel that there may be a "double standard" on SI, one for "them" and one for "us". For example, over the past few days, I believe I was referred to as "spewing vitriol", yet I was was once suspended for posting that "TopCat is his vitriolic self". When I saw my friend, Riley, being referred to as a "pimp" and saw his career as a public servant being ridiculed, and I saw my friend,Rich, being told not to "get his panties in a wad" (BTW, the official response to the complaint about that was that it is "a common euphemism" and not offensive), I thought I would see if there was, indeed, a double standard. Perhaps it is a matter of our SI Administrator being a female, but most men I know abhor being called a pimp. On the other hand, they laugh off being called a w****, saying "we all have to sell ourselves at one time or another". Also, most men I know do not like having someone refer to their "panties". From a female point of view, it might not be so easy to judge which is the worse remark. That is why I "pushed the envelope", so to speak, and got the response which I expected.

Insofar as your concern for Matty, I have in the past and will continue to refer to him as an Andrew Tobias wannabe. Matty is a college student, apparently fairly bright but, IMO, apparently immature. I will give him credit in that his posts are generally grammatically correct. He must be learning something. He has made some profits through investing. I don't know where he got the money to invest, possibly his allowance or a trust fund. IMO he did not have to work his butt off like many of the rest of us for the money.

Matty seems to take a certain delight in lording it over the rest of us. However, his inconsistency shows his immaturity. For example, in his post #3507, he states "I'm not surprised in the least...some ridiculous commentary worthy of people half my age", then in his post #3554 he states "Rich, I work for the shorters. On top of tanking your investment, I also do sexual favors for them.I am part-time pimp for their women, too. Lookin' for some action?" In his post #3555, he says "Actually Cytotekk, I work for the American Transvestite Nazi Party...". In his post #3561..., well, never mind, I could go on at some length regarding his inconsistencies.

The point is that right now I don't feel that he can be taken at face value. I laud your efforts in trying to get him to focus on who he really wants to be. He does have potential.

By the way, your post on what a terrible thing it was to bring his girlfriend into the picture. We wouldn't know that he had a girlfriend if he hadn't posted a link to his website with her picture and a caption of "true love forever' or some such thing. "Don't put it on the table if it's not for consumption." (AD 6/15/98)

Perhaps that will answer your question from last week wherein you posted something about reaping and sowing and I responded that you were correct and you asked correct about what. Before I had a chance to answer, the gendarmes were at my door.

Anyway, throughout these threads, there are shareholders and there are non-shareholders who seem to find fault with everything the shareholders find positive. Since my money (and that's where it gets personal) is in the same place as other shareholders, I tend to favor their opinions over those of people who have no money, no known interest in the stock other than to see it fail.

I hope you found this to be civil and to the point, as it was certainly meant to be. (It was also meant to be objective but, obviously, it cannot be totally so. We all have our own viewpoints.)

Very best regards,

Angel D
