This week's BARRON'S page 61, has an interesting article on the Semiconductor industry. The article mentioned that the industry has produced not a single acquisition worth as much as 1$B. The anylast thinks the chip industry is ripe for a round of large scale consolidation before the year ends and is going to touch off a chain reaction. The top tier companies, with deep pockets, on one end, and on the other end are the "Fabless" companies
