Charles, It will take time for the DD miasma to vanish. Traditionally the fake DD preyed on retirees and others who had money and whose cognitive capacity was reduced but their greed endured.
The tales were carefully crafted to appeal to that group. Few rich people with advisors were trapped.
The ratio was so bad at one time(?) that you could say with certainty they were fakes. Now it is about 98% certainty. Do not forget that you have made no claims about your lands except they are potential exploration lands that you are gathering a consortium of equals to explore. These syndicates are quite common and are a valid group mechanism. In essence you will test the ground and proceed depending on what you find. There is no reason for you to make any statements at all to non members. Once you prove your ground you can either try to bootstrap a small mine or finance with bank/equity/major involvement. At that time any of those groups will want to do a DD with a reputable DD company. Ideally you will find fine sand with gold and you can bootstrap with a front end loader and a knelson concentrator right to the bank(it has happened), however it is likely that a certain minimum size will be required that might be too much for the local group or need too many people to stay as a non reporting syndicate. At that time you can go public and fight with the Naxos, maxams and IPMs for peoples dollars. Or sell to Barrick and retire if you get a good deal.
What is the past history of AZ with regard to gold mining?
