Tom,

I usually try to use 2500 and 5000 share blocks, depending on share price and movement. Right now I am currently trading 2500 share blocks of USRX and 5000 share blocks of LLTC. I use Etrade, the commission is 19.95 a trade. They have there problems, and sometimes I am ready to choke them, but I haven't moved my money yet so , they are usable.
