The Hungarian acrylic plant will have to be modified to supply carbon precursor. The 50% cost reduction is B.S.

Zoltek is attempting to capture the margin that Courtalds is making on selling precursor. IMO this is a small number and you have to add shipping and duty costs. The winner in large tow carbon fiber will be the one who convinces Monsanto or Cytec (the two US acrylic manufacturers) to make carbon precursor. The US acrylic plants are the lowest cost in the world but would also need modifications to make precursor. The problem with basic acrylic fiber is the impurities and therefore very low performance.

You may be right in that ZOLT may be able to use the Hungarian acrylic with only minor modifications for molding compound chop, but that is not a 30 million pound market.

Todd's question about how the Street "sold" the secondary is very interesting. The S-3 I have has no forecasted financials. Anyone out there attend a road show? My guess is that we will see lots of litigation sometime in the near future.
