Press Release
US DIGITAL COMMUNICATIONS SUBSIDIARY
SKYSITE SPONSORS K2 EXPEDITION COMMUNICATIONS LINK

Burbank, CA, June 16, 1998 - U.S. Digital COMMUNICATIONS, Inc. (OTC BB:USDI) announced today that its subsidiary, Skysite Communications Corporation, has agreed to provide Satellite phone air time on the Immarsat global satellite system for the summer 1998 U.S.A. Expedition to K2, the second highest mountain in the world.

This satellite link will showcase the USDI/Immarsat Networks ability to operate anywhere in the world under any circumstances. The climbers will be able to send live news dispatches via voice communication from their remote local to the entire planet, also allowing the world to follow their progress via cybercasts on the Outdoor Life Network's Web site, greatoutdoors.com. It will also enable emergency rescue efforts should they become necessary.

Leading the expedition on the 20th anniversary of the first American ascent of the 28,250 foot Himalayan peak is Heidi Howkins, 30. She is attempting to become the first American woman to conquer the treacherous mountain, which lies on the China-Pakistan border.

"We are pleased to serve as the communications link between Heidi and the rest of the world," says Skysite CEO Charles Maynard. "We applaud and admire Heidi's courage as she embarks upon this historic adventure," Skysite's sponsorship will begin June 21 and extend to approximately September 5.

"There is a growing interest in satellite phones in the community of high-altitude climbers," says Howkins, who will also carry equipment for non-verbal satellite communications.

Skysite is a system integrator and works closely with a select number of strategic partners to provide solutions to communication problems of companies with global or remote operations.

U.S. Digital Communications, Inc., is a satellite telecommunications company which, through subsidiaries, specializes in technologies for corporate and consumer applications. U.S. Digital maintains offices in Burbank, CA, and Washington, DC, under the leadership of Robert J. Wussler, Chairman of the Board.
