Notwithstanding todays apparent rebound, it is going to take some time before this market is no longer overcast by SEA storm clouds. I expect we'll have continued volatility for awhile longer, albeit trending in a southerly direction. Eventually the nature and enormity of Asia's systemically based problems will be transparent. They will inevitably deal with it in the usual way, i.e., through the pain and suffering of their people. Our "correction" will occur when the implications for the Western economies becomes equally transparent. That will cure the excessive valuations/investor expectations bemoaned by Gregg and others. At that time there will also be tremendous bargains for those with cash in hand.

Thats why I sold most of my Q at 55.5 and got out of the market completely last week. If I over-reacted and have to buy back at higher prices I can live with that. If theres a takeover, I might miss that. If the Q becomes what most us think it can over the next 3 - 5 years, I'll have time to participate. At this point in my life I'd rather be safe than sorry.
