This story with the set-top boxes is interesting. Last week the gov't ordered the cable companies to allow consumers to buy their own set-top boxes in stores instead of renting them from the cable companies. We pay more but we can take it with us because they will be compatible across different cable markets and we can get the different functions we want (basic cable, cable+internet, cable+telephony, cable+videophone, deluxe with everything, etc). Remember that the number of people with cable is just under 3 times those with computers. This is an incredible market. If CRUS can push its products into more of those boxes then Teo may turn out to be right after all. And Phillips is a box maker. John
