I posted here about a month ago to get some feedback on potential patent infringement. I got not one response from anyone. Is this a club here or is anyone invited to post and learn (or offer views).

I have read the patent several times and a few things are very clear. The patent only covers reproduction of material that is stored at "the point of sale". Even if you get by the fact that Freeny didn't intend to have the home be the point of sale, the information (software, documents or video) would have to be stored on your hard drive and via modem, you would recieve the authorization to duplicate it or access it after payment. I can't think of an application or many applications on the net today that would infringe on this patent.

My question is this. It seems like a bright group of people have followed and traded this stock. How could you, after reading the patent and the defendants briefs, believe that the patent covers real time transactions in the home? Was this just a hype trading stock and now the game is over? Or of more value to me and others who read this thread, can anyone offer an explanation as to how this patent does cover internet commerce from a home computer and what points of Judge Jones position are off the mark.

Any feedback at all would be greatly appreciated
