Sure you can answer that someone may well have a motive to drive the price up, but the likelihood of this is that the person owns the stock and therefore has a vested interest in seeing the stock price go up. But what of one who does not own the stock and who only wants to see the price of the stock go down. Yes, then we should--and rightfully so--question an individual's motive. Don't you agree?
