Many of the big ISP's are IECs, InternetMCI, Sprint, AT&T, Worldcom/Gridnet, and others. CAPs (Competitive Access Providers) can also purchase Feature Group B service.

The biggest advantage of getting Feature Group B service is that you have access to multiple end offices in a LATA, Without Tandem access you would have to provision circuits to each exchange you wanted to service.

Ascend's assertion that the competion goes through multiple A/D conversions is possible but not probable.
