A small private jet landed safely today, approximately 3 hours later than scheduled, baffling investigators. There was no pilot, and no passengers. It was obvious that the automated flight controls had been tampered with, apparently throwing the plane off course. The occupant had bailed out in a hurry, as evidenced by the personal computer left behind, still turned on, and dialed in to the Silicon Investor website.

FBN Associates CEO, TEDennis, remarked "This incident validates the automated flight control system we market, called FBN-CoPilot. Even though the inexperienced and unqualified plane occupant tried for some unknown reason to force the jet off its course, our avionics gear forced it back to a safe landing."

No explanation was given for the occupant's seemingly crazed attempts to modify the jet's course. The cockpit had been severely damaged.

"It is a sad event", said TED. "One which we deeply regret". He then smiled briefly for cameras, as he did earlier in the day at another press briefing.

End press release
