Just as HiFD is vapor until they demonstrate a working copy and it is available for sale. Nobody even knows a price point yet other than
"competitive" with zip. That announcement was made when zip was $200 retail. Can they be competitive at $60 or less OEM?

See Sony's website for the latest:

ita.sel.sony.com

Notice it hasn't been updated in a year? And that it still has spring
98 as release date?

If Sony intended to launch an assault on a $1 billion + device (zip) with the intention of burying IOM in the removable market, do you think they would be bothered to occasionally update their site???
