Perhaps you can enlighten me. I have spent many years examining this very issue, and thought that I had learned a thing or two from such mentors as Intel, Motorola and Texas Instruments. Nevertheless, I always endeavor to maintain an open mind and, assuming that you base your statements on actual research into such issues, we should all benefit from your response. Let me begin by relaying an example of potential problems that I heard from the good folks at the FBI: that local jails and prisons have electronic security systems that are controlled by embedded systems, and, as a safety feature (for the inmates, mind you), they default to "open" in the event of a system failure. This information was portrayed to me as factual. I appreciate you taking your time to point me to information that will expose the tomfoolery of such charlatans! Ken
