I like that: Zip Stock. Has a nice ring to it. Maybe Iomega can move to the NYSE and use ZIP as their symbol.

Anyway, the Compaq LS120 is not an optical product like a CD-ROM or MO drive. It is a hybrid. The head positioning is done with an optical track, and the read/write is done magnetically.

I got one of the 20Mb floptical drives when they first came out years ago and hated it. That product flopped. No doubt the LS120 is better than that, but it's just too late to market. Iomega is in the strech and Compaq isn't even out of the starting gate yet.
