<<The rally was aided and abetted by some comments from Tom Kurlak, Merrill Lynch semiconductor analyst. He said we're three-quarters of the way in a down cycle in semiconductors, but some cutbacks still need to occur; then perhaps we can think about buying these stocks come December. Rumors immediately flew around the trading community that Kurlak had turned bullish - which he hasn't. Obviously if the world economy gets worse, things might be different in December.>>
