Less blunder and more blooper,
about 2 months? ago I was watching the news tape...I saw some news on Appian Technologies and inclusion of its product in IBM workstations. From some of the chatter on the various computer-oriented thread, and knowing how important dual monitors are becoming, it looked neat. **The story said, Appian tech (APPN) to beincluded in IBM workstation...I looked up the symbol...
stock was .005 to .006...hmmm...didnt look to strange, i mean, outside of us tech and financial junkies, dual monitors are like space craft to some... but hey, in the quote was the DJones news marker, and volume was coming in.
I did a 2second search for news stories ...nada..zip..
I called some market maker like Paragon and bot 150,000 shares at .0055 and .006 (a whopping $1000 buck investment or so)...
anyway, soon afterwards the volume really starts rolling and the stock starts rolling higher 1 cent 1 1 2/ cent 2 cents 3, 4, cents...WOW!
Man, I was feeling great and was just about to start selling in the 4 cent range when I see news "**DJ: Symbol Correction Appian Graphics not Appian Tech." Uh oh, needless to say, I ditch the stock as its tanking for like 1 1/2, 2 cents...oh well. Made a few bucks but the lesson...Don't be a pig....you get some ridiculous return, don't start dreaming of a grandeur and how this trade will be the end-all...take your profit and move on...traders dont make and hopefully dont break themselves on anyone trade...they strive to do it, dayin day out.
