STOK2 from past news releases and reading their website it appears that Equitech has developed not only a better mousetrap but a cheaper mouse trap. The devices they have developed have been redesigned with less optics thereby making the design simpler and cheaper to manufacture. My opinion is that they're coming to market with a competitive advantage on a cost basis and innovated some additional features that are currently in the patent process. I know from experience that a patent applicaiton can take a couple of years. Below is an old press release indicating they have filed over a year ago.

One other point I would like to make. I have checked the trading logs for this ticker over the past year. This stock has hardly traded all year long. My take is that management obviously have not needed their stock to finance the companies development or startup phase. It is my opinion that this stock is almost an IPO or coming out for the first time. This is not to say that this is a reverse merger of the ticker. According to their website that occured over a year ago. There are plenty of high tech outfits that attract talent with stock options for this type of development activity. I know this because I have been approached with this before in my software development endeavors. These "Think Tank" type outfits typically lay dormant during the product development phase and then once they have product shipped out the door and do a proof in concept they generally perform an IPO with a financial institution. Its not like we have DLJ here sponsoring an IPO but that is what is occuring here on the OTC level in my opinion. Most high tech stocks IPO at $20 or more. Here with EQTL we'll start at under a dollar and most likely move over a dollar range. Today the MMs didn't know where to take this stock since they were suddenly hit with volume for the first time in a while. The company hasn't had a news release in quite some time, over a year I believe. Now rumor has it there is a news release coming tomorrow I'm sure they have something to say.
