Paul, These actions should be seen for what they really are - political actions. The FTC and DOJ are being manipulated by political considerations, driven by Sun and Netscape (against Microsoft) and AMD and others against Intel. You're right. Just look at who they enlisted. Senator Hatch, Bob Dole, Judge Bork etc. Not exactly a trio of technical experts. But they are politically connected. The FTC lawyers and consultants have their own interest in mind. Barry has a good point though. Hopefully the courts can discern the legal facts. Many legal experts have said the FTC's case is weak from a legal standpoint, and Greenspan has now testified that the FTC's case is weak from an economic standpoint. Maybe the politicians will do what they do best (switch sides). Dale
