Yes, I am THAT Chris Bunka; the one who writes Outsider's Overture. Thanks for welcoming me.

I'll mostly try NOT to get too specific about UIC since I cannot comment about the stock as a newsletter writer. I'll comment on it just as an investor who owns stock in the company. I don't mind at all commenting about other things as well...

The Vancouver Conference was attended by, I am guessing, about 900 people. Investors were pretty gloomy as could be expected on a day when the markets were down over 200 points. There was a certain mood that the resource sector was not ready to bounce back to life. Some investors still seem to be walking around in denial: they seem incapable of accepting that they have lost over 90% on some of their junior gold investments.

People seemed genuinely happy to see the non resource companies exhibiting. Unitec's booth was one of the busier ones - my booth was only about 20 feet away so I monitored their traffic pretty closely. Several people approached me and seemed really interested in what the company was doing. I also noticed a few newsletter writers milling about from time to time.

I think the attitude of investors that I spoke to about UIC could be summed up like this: it looks like a great company that has been taken advantage of by market professionals in the past, and that is starving for cash in order to break out into new levels of business.

I won't be able to comment here every day because I am way too busy as it is - my wife is going to kill me when she finds out I'm "wasting" my time here! But I'll try to drop by from time to time and offer whatever help I can.
