At Comdex last week, the head of the Windows CE product line said that Microsoft will be targeting the embedded market as well as the consumer electronics market with the Windows CE operating system. Windows CE is a 32-bit portable operating system that runs on RISC and X86 processors. In addition, companies like Ventercom and Neamtron are adding hard realtime capabilities to Windows NT. Dave
