The Compaq Upgrade...suggestions for socket 7 mobos?

I can't decide on the BX system so maybe I should build the socket seven machine first. It will be a lot cheaper and I will not have to build a machine and then take it apart.

I will need a socket seven mobo, case, modem, video and, sound card. Hopefully I will be able to use the CD-ROM, floppy, Pentium 200 mmx CPU, SCSI adapter, NIC and 32 MB of the RAM as 16 MB of the 48 MB is integral. (DIMMS I believe)

I will use the new IBM Deskstar HDD. I will add a second harddisc as a KOTD (Keep On Truck'n Drive, NOT a backup drive). This will require bios with IDE harddisc boot selection options.
