I couldn't agree with your economic analysis on Japan more. Japanese have practice a most bizzare national economic policy for far too long. Throughout the late 70's and 80's they rose to become an economic powerhouse only to benefit US the most. Their obsession with maintaining the lowest account balance aginst any other countries led them to export goods and services in exchange for inceasing amount of foreign currecies that simply depreciate against Yen without import of good and services in return -- essentially exchanging goods and services for depreciating assets. As a results japanes workers never realized the full benefit of their increased productivity. With so much excess capitals they simply pour it into US bonds and real estate benefiting US economy and help lift the US from the 80's recession and fuel the most powerful economic rally in US history. Coupled with the release of technical talents from military into commerical products, US economy is simply unstoppable now and will help ensure the bull market for at least a few more years.
