Well, much ado about nothing. In both cases, (earnings and conference call). There seems to be good news and bad news. The bad news is the management is still there and as slow as ever (CEO search, having the company know what's going on re: poison pill). The good news is the stuff that they are counting on to get Novell going, sold well (for a quarter, at least). With the InternetWare and NW4 sales up 38% ($131m to 181), GroupWise5 up 24%, and Man.Wise2.1 up 18% (p.s. does anyone know the $ that these last 2 were base on), it looks like the company is in a period where the 'old stuff' is dropping like a rock and weighing down the total revenues and net income. As the older product is discontinued, maybe Novell has a chance to become a growth company again. Mat.
