Good point Jim - the competition out there is nearly zero at this point. Baster, Alliance, Lily - they have all been burned trying to tap into this 20billion market. They are watching. According to Dr. Drees, the transfusion market ALONE is 60mil - and the hemoglobin based products have not worked - they cannot absolutely protect the patient from AIDS, HIV or hepatitus. Pher-02 can be sterilized. Pher-02's cost is about $30 and can be mass produced as opposed to $200 for hemo based product. This product is badly needed and has several applications - one recent application told to me by Dr Drees is chemotherapy - will allow patients treatment with reductions in exposure to radiation.
