Lancer Orthodontics Recommended for ISO 9000 and EN 46000 European Certification
SAN MARCOS, Calif., June 16 /PRNewswire/ -- Lancer Orthodontics, Inc. (Nasdaq: LANZ) has received a recommendation by the British Standards Institution, one of the world's leading registrars, for ISO 9000 and EN 46000 certification. The recommendation is the crucial final step before Lancer's products and services are certified for acceptance throughout Europe.
"This is a significant milestone in Lancer's history," said Doug Miller, President and COO. "We are proud that the prestigious British Standards Institute is recognizing the world-class quality system Lancer has implemented. This greatly increases our Company's competitive presence in the worldwide marketplace."
ISO 9000 certifies that a quality system is in place which continually stresses improvement in process measurement, design, training and corrective/preventive action. EN 46000 certification assures that lancer meets the requirements of the European Medical Device Directives. The dual certification will allow Lancer's products to be labeled with the CE mark, required for acceptance of products within the European community.
"This certification will assure customers that Lancer is dedicated to providing the highest quality products and services available in the orthodontic industry," Miller said.
Lancer Orthodontics develops, manufactures and markets state-of-the-art orthodontic products such as bands, brackets and buccal tubes worldwide. It is the only free standing public company in the field of orthodontic manufacturing.
