Yes, AMD DOES look like a good buy at these levels BUT as I suggested before I believe that AMD will lose money this quarter. This due to not getting yields up until just recently, costs of switching from .35 to .25 etc.. A loss this quarter could send the stock even lower depending on more general market conditions. If AMD moves into the low twenties and loses are as bad as last quarter then we may not see lower prices than we have now.
If what I've been hearing is true, AMD could easily return to profitability in the 3rd quarter of this year.
Apparently Intel isn't out of the woods either. With the DOW up over 200, Intel is only up 1/2. I would have expected at least 3 up.
Like you, I'm banking on the Xeon, not too thrilled with the Celeron.
