Slot 1 Pentium IIs have a design limitation and can only be used in a single or dual processor configuration. Intel is planning on coming out with a Slot 2 package that will support more than a 2 processor configuration in the 3 quarter of this year. I believe the initial product will have the code name Xeon and will be announced on June 29, 1998. This puts you in a tough spot either use a CPU that is being phased out, the Pentium Pro, or use a new product, a Intel Pentium II in a Slot 2 package, which will be very costly.
