Your point is well-taken concerning charts and indices. My point was that charts were good for history, but not much else. I know that is almost heresy on this thread. Apparently you are saying we can't trust history and there are revisionists out there. -- to that I say, AMEN.

What is even less trustworthy is after-the-fact explanations short term moves in the market.

That said: There are a number of recent announcements concerning the semi's, mostly bad. One comment by Kurlack was taken as bullish yesterday -- today maybe folks are reading the fine print. I wasn't really a bullish comment at all. INTC earnings were revised down. Another co. warned today. Maybe the bad news is just reaching some critical undeniable level there.
