Sam Another one I've been looking at is Ampex on the AMEX. Remember that old magnetic tape company. Well, they have had a pretty rough time of late but it looks like it could be a good turnaround play. I understand that they are supposed to make an announcement within the next month or so that they have some patent for dramatically increasing the capacity of hard drives. There is supposed to be lots of interest in this by three companies. Trying to find out more. The stock was down to 3, now up to 9 or so. Wish I was in at 3. High was 15 or so. Very speculative play. As I said to Adam, I'm a value investor with a long time horizon. I'd rather grow rich slowly that blow my wad on a bunch of speculative investments hoping to get rich overnight. It doesn't work that way. I know from experience believe me. Used to play options and try to be a speculator. The key work was used in the past tense. Chris
