FROM BRIEFING.COM: 14:07 ET Guardian Technologies (GRDN) 2 11/16 -5/16 (-10%): Oliver North looking to get a piece of the $75 mln appropriated by the government for local law enforcement to buy bullet proof vests. In a press release today, Mr. North, the Chairman/CEO of Guardian, applauded the move. His company manufacturers high-end ballistic protective equipment for law enforcement, the military and the security industry. For fiscal 1997, GRDN reported sales of $1.15 mln, compared to 1996 sales of $1.476 mln. Volume 165K. Intraday range 2 11/16 to 3 1/4.
