Outperforming the S&P 500 consistently is a difficult task achieved by very few funds. Since it is a hedge fund and is not taking new investors, I'm sure the numbers are not as easily obtained as for a mutual fund. But, from what I recall, Craig's assertion sounds right. It might have been in GQ that I saw the stats.

The bottom line is that JJC has a style, for investing, for writing, and for self-promotion. I think these are worth debating on this thread. I'm not sure his integrity is really that interesting a topic. He changes his mind constantly, and any reader who hasn't figured that out should not be handling money.

Personally, I think Cramer's outspoken nature is his best attribute. I think we should be grateful to have such a resource. We can listen to the absolute latest thoughts and sentiments of an investment pro, and watch the results. Because he wears his emotions on his sleeve, we have the chance to learn about the emotional roller-coaster that trading can be, without taking the lumps ourselves.

P.S. Pretty long note from a nonsubscriber, eh? <g>
