Several questions:

1) Any quantification of this? Does H&Q or anyone else following
this have projections concerning their belief in Rambus's
year-by-year penetration of this segment of the market?

2) I don't have a breakdown of this market, but at one time
it was dominated by Intel and a whole host of embedded
microprocessors. Will Rambus receive any royalties from
Intel? Another question: what is leading you to believe
that the processor/memory interface in general embedded
applications is a significant bottleneck?

3) Concerning the Rambus VP who didn't want to go on record --
is there anyone out there who is objective who has said
that the processor market potential was a multiple of the
DRAM potential? If we exclude Intel microprocessors and
Alpha, how much total product market are we left with?

Please don't misunderstand this post -- I am not trying to refute in any way your assertion that Rambus has become more of a general semiconductor market play than a DRAM market play. Rambus may very well have positioned themselves in this manner as they saw the DRAM revenue going down. What I'm struggling to do is to get a quantitative understanding of this and the key purchase criteria which will be used to help Rambus get into this market.
