YOu have good thoughts Jeff.

I would like to see the next IOM device be clik! sized, GMR based and hold about 400mb-500mb of data. Then, if they design it right, they can release a 100mb disk version and replace Zip.

imagine, a 400mb Hip! disk that is clik! backwards compatible

BTW, if IOM falls to Rocky's price, there is either
a) really bad fundamentals from the factory (ie bad gross margins)
b) severe price competition from ORB/Sony
c) Overspending continuing

but then QNTM or SEG HAS to look at IOM as an inexpensive way to gain $1.8Billion in their revenue stream (and cut all those foreign disti costs). Lots of synergy here to unlock with an established DD player.

QNTM is my pick as an acquirer (IF IOM hits $4 or their GM improves).
