Jun 17 1998 12:07PM EDT From May 21, 1998 email I received from German friend, I asked my friend Eckhard in Germany to look up John Sved and have a conversation with him about the IEC unit at Daimler-Benz Aerospace before I wrote my report. I thought you might find it interesting while we await the long waited for news release. "John stated that there is big interest on this IEC because of the following reasons: Convertional Neutron-sources are working with isothops: - now way to shut off - Tschernobyl-Effekt (radiation and environmetal problems) - lots of restrictions by law to get a Neutron-source - working just for 500-2000 hours - no constant neutronal fluence - the new technologie using Helium 3 can be shut off - the medium Helium 3 could be found in greater ressources on the moon than on earth and is a kind of clean ressource for nuclear fusion (the process on our sun) Yesterday they made a test about the power of the new IEC; went out o.k. Next tests to follow are about duration with target of 10000 hours (about one year). Current need is about 10 pices of IEC. Target is to have some "evaluation-copys" of it for possibel clients (still mostly research-labs). The sales in America (CAN, US etc) will be handled by M.F. Physics, a 10 persons company in Colorado Springs (founded by Manfred Frey). Rockford Tech. Inc will get License-Rev. from DASA. Rockford is owned by Rhombic so they will get the monney. On a medium or better lon-term perspective the new IEC will replace all the actual neutron-generators (numbers? your job: see below). John thinks they will build about 10 in first year and in the second 20-25. He thinks that M.F.Physiks will sell 1 a month (must be qualified). The big Impact an this: The IEC base technologie can also be used to build up not even Neutron- but also Proton-Generators and might be used for Roentgen-devices. If the Power of the source will increase it might be used as aggregate in space navigation. John stated that the price of the IEC must be at about twice or tripple of conventional kind of devices if they will have finished the loboratory-status. The more interesting thing in the background is, that Rhombic will need the monney from licensing to build a factory in Columbia Miss. for the artificial produktion of diamonds in a greater way which needs millions to invest. There could be produced so called blue diamonds which will give laser-technologie a big kick.
