First, a thanks to Narotham for being on top of this very important
development. One of my associates has been doing some calculations
and research on MIFGY and this deal may be accretive from the get-go.
If so, and considering MIFGY is sitting on support level well below
its current range, this could provide a lift which means that it will
drag ISLI higher which is what you point out too. The MIFGY thread is
not particularly active but some who seem to be close to the company
seem to feel positive about its potential. Also, the current year
estimates are very positive (losses the last few years) so MIFGY
appears to be turning around. Key is ISLI will trade in lock step
with MIFGY. If it breaks into the high 30s it may be time to take
what is on the table but this appears to be a good match and with
the additional focus in Europe this may be a win-win deal. If it is
viewed this way MIFGY could be in the high 50s again which could be
a 30 tag on ISLI which is what a lot of us thought would be a 1999
number. So it may pay to watch first and act afterwards. In some
respects the Y2K issue gets more attention and respect in Europe since
they have the common currency issue too so these kinds of stocks are
selling for a higher multiple. ISLI's lower multiple could be the
catalyst for nice short term move up for MIFGY. Anyway, I am sure we
will all stay tuned. Poor PCSS, on vacation and missing all the
excitement.
