During the Quiet period, insiders are not allowed to buy or sell nor promote the companies stock.The company is also not allowed to issue certain types of press releases.These are my understandings,do you know if this is indeed the case.If so, my math says this all about to change very quickly.When quiet period ends, I think I'll lend stock to JDR to short as we will then be on a level playing field.If VSE was a level field they would not allow shorting during this period,this would offset these restrictions.This should be done as well as a way to compensate shareholders for the VSE not allowing companies to announce their intention to move to other exchanges.No one restricts fear mongers.As well, my lawyer tells me any reporters misleading remarks about a company could be actionable by shareholders.As an example,if a reporter knows a company can not or will not respond to his questions about the future because of quiet period restrictions, then they use this knowledge and then go out and give the impression that the company is ducking the press, which the reporter knows is not the case at all. This type of reporting is actionable, particularly if the reporter fails to mention the quiet period in an article,and does so with the intent is to leave false impressions. Shareholders do have rights and remedies to protect their holdings in B.C.
