Don, the OSAX tool almost automatically generates a component-based ActiveX interface for the C++ object that one has implemented in ObjectStore. So if the future is in component-based technology, ObjectStore has a lot of potential IMO. I have seen this technology at work and it's simply amazing to see Microsoft Excel and Visual Basic applications using C++ objects through an ActiveX layer to get virtually instantaneous access to some very sophisticated and data-intensive calculations. Relational databases are not as productive for component-based computing, and as usual much slower also.
