Rick, use a calculator next time ... : )
OT,
How about a Biotech Hall of Fame and a Hall of Shame ... with exquisite detail. For example, you like Rathmann and Johnson, and have weighed in a few times with your reasons. And other folks have commented, too (e.g., Rman likes Whitfield and Randy Scott).
How about a real candid, detailed assessment of some the real top management decisions and strategies in the past 20 years of biotech (across disciplines, too ... CEO, clinical, financing, manufacturing, discovery, pr), and the real clunkers. I can think of some doozies. Calgene alone is worth a few chuckles ... I can laugh now since the tax loss is on a past Schedule D ... out of sight, out of mind ...
maybe something for the VD thread.
Peter
p.s., hey, we talk about who's the best left-handed pitcher of all time (Steve Carlton? - my choice for best single year - Lefty Grove? Sandy Koufax?) ... why not biotech execs? |
