Mr. Andrews: Thanks for responding. I have shorted some stocks in the past, and provided I had sufficient funds in the account, and a "track record" with the brokerage, e.g., promptly meeting margin calls, there seemed to be no barrier at the $ 5.00/level. I saw a post on this thread regarding Merrill Lynch (sp), and from a friend who is a broker there, they do allow a customer to short, however they may want additional margin funds in the account before doing so. FWIW, the past two days trading in VVUS have been very interesting from a technical standpoint. We'll see what the rest of the week, and options expiration have in store. Regards.
