It seems obvious that the latest news has the shorters panties in a bunch, even if the price of the stock has gone down.

I have been through this once before with Northrich Pacific Ventures (NPA) on the Vancouver exchange. Unfortunately, professional shorters there were able to knock the price down with relentless shorting along with a misinformation campaign here on their SI thread. The resulting drop in share price caused NPA to lose a large private placement necessary to fully explore their property. This resulted in a further decline. Those who trashed that stock were just as relentless and nonsensical as those here.

I don't think MDIN's shorters will be as fortunate as they've pretty well cornered themselves. It appears they are short more than the float, and were hoping to be able to cover when the restrictions come off of the 144 shares.

I for one wouldn't mind seeing the shorts panic and cover. I don't think any amount of trashing by anyone on SI will free up a significant part of the float as those with large positions are very comfortable with the company's progress to date.

One of these days, the shorts will have to face facts and realize they are only hurting themselves by pushing the price down as they sell more shares and dig that hole they're in even deeper...
