The investment group that is looking at HDST now has 3 other companies under their ownership presently. All these companies are private. Assuming they put all under the same roof and that they are currently profitable. They will be able to use the loses they absorb from the takeover of HDST as a write off. In order to do this they need to keep HDST in business for 3 years per IRS regulations. Presently I don't know how much debt HDST actually has. The creditors that forced the chapter 11 are after 1.5million if my memory serves me correctly. HDST currently has 1 million in inventory as of end of 97. Don't know if this is usable inventory or dead accumulated inventory. With no real infrastructure leading HDST it is difficult to obtain factual information. The court appointed trustee has the real skinny currently on HDST. Maybe someone can contact HDST and get the name and number of this trustee? The trustee might be able to shed light on all our speculation of late? On my way to Hawaii with the family for next two weeks. Leaving in 8 hours can't wait. Maybe when I return I'll find out this has all been a bad dream? ALOHA John
