Thank-you so very much for posting that information! I checked the websites and it looks like Appian is the best. I'm calling them as soon as they open in the morning. I've already called Dell but all they could say is to wait for Win '98 to be sent out to me, but that means 4-6 weeks of waiting, and trading with a single 21-inch monitor. This may sound decadent (although I'll bet many of you traders can relate) but with only one monitor I have lost thousands of dollars wasting time jumping from screen to screen. Sometimes I've been in such a hurry to load up on a stock that I didn't even bother going through the rigamarole of checking my charts on Trade Station and it has cost me, again, thousands. First of all, what I need is a new desk! Preferably a circular one, because I'm planning on getting 4 additional 21-inch Trinitrons. So what if it costs $8,000. I have easily lost three or four times that amount in the past two months alone, in lost time and faulty decision-making because I didn't have a really clear overview of all relevant data. One thing I have learned by now in trading is that if you don't have an ultra-crystal clear picture of everything that is going to affect your trade, then you are at an extreme disadvantage. I think most traders are. So if you wipe away that "disadvantage" you'll actually be ahead of most traders. Trading is enough of a pressure-cooker without having to bungle around in the dark! ZP, thank-you for the info and thank-you for this thread. If you're interested, I'll keep everyone posted on how it turns out with the Appian cards. By the way, Dell told me I had 3 available PCI slots and 1 shared slot, making effectively 4 free slots. My system is pretty much the standard Dell Dimension XPS R400, with the 384MB SDRAM and the 8MB AGP card, so if any of you are planning on getting one, you'll know about the available slots, at least. I'm very happy with it - it is fast.
