CRAWFORD's message, part II more confusion.... ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ "Unfortunately, 3Com's sales of RAS dropped in the first quarter of 98 to $139 million from $172 in Q497. Both Ascend and Cisco reported sales increases." I've rung 3Coms before on the market share figures in general before and the answer I get is "we have been reducing channel inventory, and the market share figures have been calculated on factory shipments, not customer purchases". For the last quarter, they have been saying that this is over. I'm waiting for the results to be announced next week, and hoping for evidence of the turnaround - besides more product announcements. Why am I sceptical? ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ ...Moral?....COMS will exceed estimates and drop 5 pts
