Thanks guys. I guess I will have to ask Steve Hrms how much they are getting paid for scans on the Aurora. My guess is that they are not discounting the studies relative to any other MR charges. This means that there remains a good profit incentive to buying an Aurora machine, but that there is no huge price break for payors when patients get an MR instead of an evil, dirty, criminal xray mammo. At roughly 10 times the cost, wide-spread proliferation of MR mammo cannot be assured. However, since y'all are in it for the loooong term, my guess is you will do fine. I think MR will continue to prove itself as a good and better test. I just won't hold my breath for the "cheaper" part of the equation. I haven't seen a whole lot in the journals as to compelling research in this area. I guess we are in a dry spell, waiting for all those paid-for tests to start rolling in? Take care all....
