Thanks for a very interesting article. It seems the fiscal predicament the Japanese have gotten themselves into hasn't gone unnoticed by neighbors. Do you think that the currency intervention would have been done if Mr. Tung Chee Hwa hadn't addressed the problem specifically on his recent trip to Australia. Also, in front of a Clinton trip to China? Maybe Rubin has orchestrated something more complicated than helping Mr. Hashimoto?
