Dawson ends year with profits up 51% By Bonnie Pfister Express-News Business Writer Dawson Production Services Inc. ended its year by increasing profits 51 percent, although its final quarterly earnings were hurt by weather and cratering oil prices. The San Antonio-based firm posted net income of $7.7 million for the fiscal year ended March 31, or 68 cents per diluted share. Revenues were up 144 percent to $226 million. The oil and gas rig service company plugs and completes wells. It also provides vacuum and testing services to oil and gas explorers in Texas, Louisiana, New Mexico and California. The company posted fourth-quarter profits of $1.58 million, up 17 percent from the same period last year. Per share earnings of 14 cents were unchanged.
