I am touched by your sentiments (you too Bipin). My reasons for seeling was as follows: Borland was dumped by Netscape in favor of Symantec; the brain drain from Borland; the inevitable money drain from the OPEN deal; and the fact that virtually no sw companies succeed when MSFT operates in their market space. SW companies are giving away product to grab market share. This strategy can only work for a company with deep pockets - which Borland does not have. Borland has refused to be taken over in order to effectively compete in such a market.
The fact that Borland got a CEO - which all expected would happen -- does not fundamentally change my view of Borland or any other software company. I think its naive to think that the mere announcement of a CEO will drive the stock to $20. Borland must earn profits - a task that will be quite difficult in the sw arena in which it operates.

Sure I would have liked to be in it to make up some of my losses in Borland. However, I made my decison based on the above factors and I have to live with its consequences - for better or worse.
