Well, nothing in the analysis you posted surprises me. Toys R' Us sells a very mass market, junky and mostly plastic assortment of stuff. When I was still buying toys for my daughter, the only reason I went there was to get Legos at a good price, and Barbie outfits sometimes. I always thought they would do better if they sold the European toy lines like Brio, and higher quality dolls and accessories. It is not a very fun place to shop, really. The stores are chaotic and sometimes dirty, and the sales staff is so minimal and untrained that getting a question answered is almost impossible.
