Montgomery Securities downgraded Linear (LLTC) saying that their distribution channels have weakened considerably. The semiconductor industry appears to be in a severe recession and perhaps depression here. Estimate cuts are likely across the board for semiconductor companies. Micrel is a nimble company in power management (which is the best segment of the analog companies) but it makes little sense to fight the current outside of a small position in Micrel.
